Audi is re-introducing a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) to its Australian line-up from mid-2023 in the form of the Q5 55 TFSI e luxury medium SUV. litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine mated with a 105kW/350Nm electric motor integrated into the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for a combined output of 270kW and 500Nm.

Created to be a spiritual replacement for the much-missed Skoda Yeti that was discontinued in 2017, the Skoda Epiq has been developed alongside the incoming VW ID.2 Measuring in at around 4100mm long the Epiq will be shorter than the Yeti but offer lots more interior space thanks to the lack of petrol engine or transmission.
