It was established in 2017 and is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where Volvo has been for a long time (although the Polestar 2 is built in China). Our focus is on vehicles that offer the best fuel economy in their class, which leads us to emphasize electric cars, plug-in hybrids, hybrids and diesels. Still a bit of a mystery.
