UPS plans to build an additional six compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations and add 390 new CNG tractors and terminal trucks and 50 liquefied natural gas (LNG) vehicles to its alternative fuel and advanced technology fleet. In 2016, UPS invested $100 million in CNG fueling stations and vehicles.

Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities. The DOE’s Alternative Fuels Data Center provides a comprehensive database of federal and state programs that support EVs and infrastructure. The DOT is now soliciting nominations from State and local officials to assist in making designations for alternative fuel corridors.

Transitioning the fleet to all electric will eliminate emissions from diesel buses and emissions from shipping diesel fuel by barge 900 miles from Seattle. Lextran will receive funding to purchase battery electric buses and on-route charging stations to service the University of Kentucky campus, City of Lexington, and Fayette County.
