Anyos Jedlik built an electric motor in 1828, and he used it to make the first miniature electric car. It had an AC induction motor and a 96V lead-acid battery pack as its power source. Also, REVA Bangalore entered the electric vehicle market in 2001 with a vehicle developed by an American business (Amerigon).
