To support the rollout, Ford will rapidly expand the availability of EcoBoost gasoline engine technology, low CO 2 ECOnetic Technologies, vehicle electrification and driver assistance features. By 2015, there will be more than 3.5 liter EcoBoost gasoline engine, a combination that is expected to deliver best-in-class fuel economy.

The Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards require that vehicles offered for sale in the US attain an average fuel economy of 40.3 The U-M survey also asked vehicle owners which advanced technology they would prefer at two different gasoline price points: $2.50/gallon Washington, DC: The National Academies Press, 2015.
