By 2025, Toyota’s goal is to have 40% of new vehicle sales be electrified models, and by 2030 expects that to increase to nearly 70%. These initiatives are further steps toward achieving the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050, introduced in 2015. Between now and 2025, Toyota and Lexus models, globally, will have an electrified option.

California Governor’s Office releases 2013 ZEV action plan; 1.5M ZEVs on CA roadways by 2025

The Executive Order established several milestones organized into three time periods: by 2015, by 2020, and by 2025. In 2015, 10% of state departments’ light-duty fleet purchases must be ZEVs, climbing to 25% of light duty purchases by 2020. Plan for and integrate peak vehicle demand for electricity into the state’s energy grid.
