Mercedes-Benz to set up EV production in US, battery plant; $1B investment in Alabama

The company plans to produce EQ-branded SUV models at MBUSI (Mercedes-Benz US International), its Tuscaloosa, Alabama facility. Final details of the plans are still being worked on in partnership with the State of Alabama. Mercedes-Benz will set up electric vehicle production in the United States.

UPS updates 125 Workhorse E-GEN series hybrid electric step vans with smaller genset engine for better fuel economy

The updated trucks, which were originally purchased in September 2015, deliver up to four times the fuel economy of a gasoline-powered vehicle, UPS said. The trucks will be deployed in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio and Texas later this year. The smaller engine will improve fuel economy, however.
