Ford Motor Company and Microsoft Corp. Introducing Hohm to Ford’s electric vehicles supports Ford’s global electrification plan, which will put five new electrified vehicles on the road in North America and Europe by 2013. Ford is the first automaker to announce the planned use of Hohm, starting with the Focus Electric next year.

The future is green for Tesla Motors and its partner Daimler AG, as they plan to launch two plug-in electric vehicles in the near future. In an interview with the Green Car Advisor , Tesla Motors’ CEO Elon Musk also said that Tesla would be replacing its current generation Roadster with a larger, four-seat sports car in 2013.
