Nissan has sold 11,703 LEAFs in the US during the first 7 months of 2013—an increase of 230% from the 3,543 units for the same period in 2012. Four of the top 15 markets are in California: San Francisco (1), Los Angeles (2), San Diego (7) and Sacramento (8). Los Angeles. Washington D.C.

In June about 500 cars were placed in consumer and fleet hands in Los Angeles and New York and New Jersey for what BMW calls a " field trial." Pioneers’ inquiries about the applicability of the federal $7500 tax credit continue to be stonewalled. The BMW Mini E has hit the streets. Only BMW knows and they’re not saying.

Along with Hyundai and Honda who also have sold FCEVs, since 2012 there have been 14,225 fuel cell cars sold in the United States, nearly all of those in California. Simple math says we possibly could have driven 316 miles, which is just 36 miles shy of Los Angeles to the Silicon Valley. The 2nd gen Mirai mimics a Lexus look.
