Partnering with Alcoa, Duke Energy, Google.org, Johnson Controls Indiana startup plans to unveil vehicle May 2009 at EVS-24 in Norway; mass production in 2012. Ford Escape PHEV-40 around 2012. Batteries not ready. Ford and SCE will explore whether these batteries have other uses that could reduce their cost to consumers.

It will appear in Europe next year as the Opel Ampera and in Australia as the Holden Volt in 2012. Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time. Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. Way to go morons.
