Mn/DOT will start recruiting volunteers for the Minnesota Road Fee Test in May and research will begin in July 2011. Minnesota’s highway revenues are derived from three sources: the gas tax, vehicle registration fee or tabs and the motor vehicle sales tax. —Cory Johnson, project manager.

In 2011, ASTM approval for the use of renewable jet fuel derived from hydroprocessing is moving into the final stages. The stakeholders also urge continuing and expanding key programs under the Farm Bill and other federal. Specific recommendations include continuing the Biorefinery Assistance Program and excise tax incentives.
