Following the Fukushima disaster in 2011, the Federal government oversaw the immediate closure of eight nuclear plants, with the rest of the stations to be shut down by 2022. To date, renewables have had feed-in priority over conventionally generated power from combined cycle and coal-fired power plants.

Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal. Deliveries start in 2011. Notice in [link] that GM carefully avoids claiming to reduce CO2 by shifting to the grid, but leads people off the track by focusing on smog related issues. Fisker is a good example.
