ISO To Develop Standard for Sustainable Bioenergy

ISO will develop an International Standard (ISO 13065) to address sustainability issues linked to bioenergy. The standard will be produced by a new ISO project committee, ISO/PC 248, Sustainability criteria for bioenergy. ISO/PC 248 will hold its first meeting in April 2010.

ICCT benchmarking report finds wide 51% gap between most- and least- fuel-efficient transatlantic airlines

The gap between the most- (Norwegian Air Shuttle) and least- (British Airways) fuel-efficient airlines on 2014 transatlantic operations was 51%—roughly twice the performance gap between the best and worst US airlines on domestic operations (25% in 2014), according to a newly released study by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT).

Volkswagen Group to invest more than €9.8 billion in China by 2015; efficient products and production
