Would it be wrong if I said that the history of the automobile industry has been divided into two parts, before Tesla and after Tesla , some might argue that I understand? The image and common impression of Electric vehicles were re-written by the introduction of the Tesla Roadster in the year of 2008.

In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. Volvo Ford-owned company exploring PHEVs "ReCharge" flex-fuel series 60-mile concept PHEV w/wheel motors. Batteries not ready. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles.
