Without the CAFE standard and stimulus monies to promote green vehicle tech, the industry would not be headed toward a greener horizon.

All-electric cars, like the upcoming Nissan Leaf, have a range of about 100 miles and are powered by electric motors instead of the gas-powered internal combustion engine found in most current cars.
