Today, it's the turn of the third member of the 2000-2002 Daweoo triumvirate: The compact Nubira, an example of which I found in a Denver self-service yard last week. We continued to buy new Daewoos after 2002, but they bore the badges of other brands. The revised Lanos came back as the 2004 Chevy Aveo.

Today's Junkyard Find is an example of the sporty coupe version of the first-generation Saturn S , found in a Denver-area boneyard recently. That year, American car shoppers could buy a new 1996 Honda Civic DX coupe with five-speed manual for just $11,720 ($23,411 now), but that car had a mere 98 horsepower.

The Suzuki Equator seems to be the most puzzling of them all , though, and now my decade-long search has unearthed one in a Denver-area car graveyard. It had dwindled to just the Axiom and Rodeo by 2004, then staggered on for a few more years selling hastily rebadged Chevy Trailblazers and Colorados.
