Bosch and Weichai Power boost efficiency of Weichai truck diesel engines from 46% to 50%

Bosch and Weichai launched their joint development project in September 2018. Their strategic alliance began back in 2003. Electric vehicles are climate-neutral if the charging power and hydrogen are sourced from renewables. Bosch expects around one-third of all newly registered vehicles worldwide to be purely electric by 2030.

Europe has gasoline taxes over $4 per gallon and still finds the need to adopt aggressive performance standards for cars to reduce GHGs and oil use. The initial sales requirement was 2% of car sales in 1998 (representing about 20,000 vehicles at the time), increasing to 5% in 2001 and 10% in 2003. by about 1.9%.

Overall, the Chrysler brand is targeting a significant expansion in its segment coverage over the next five years, with the addition of a C-segment 100 Sedan in 2016, and new full- and mid-size crossover vehicles coming in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
