For the 1980s, GM created the X-Cars , Ford offered Fox sedans and American Motors had the Concord. I recall angrily futzing with video codecs in order to watch the file I'd laboriously downloaded of this spoof Aries commercial, circa 2000. It was (sometimes) hard to believe that this was a four-cylinder compact with front-wheel-drive.

Ford ranks the highest at 18, down three spots from the previous year. Right below Ford on the list is Buick, which had performed well in recent years and was in the top 10 last year. While the Chrysler 300 improves to “Average,” the Pacifica minivan falls to “Below-Average.” Chrysler drops seven spots to number 24.

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz electric minivan has been coming to North America for a long, long time. Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and GM will all launch vehicles into that segment over the next couple of years. On the other hand, it’s a minivan with sliding side doors. Now we know VW will join them.
