Ford and Azure Dynamics introduce Transit Connect Electric passenger wagon

Ford Motor Company and Azure Dynamics Corporation are introducing a passenger wagon version of the Ford Transit Connect Electric. The wagon is a logical next step for Azure and Ford which first introduced an electrified Transit Connect in December 2010. The wagon has a top speed of 75 mph (121 km/h).

Azure Dynamics Corporation and Ford Motor Company announced that New York Power Authority (NYPA), the nation’s largest state public power organization, has been added to the LEAD customer program for the Ford Transit Connect Electric van. The battery is rechargeable using either a 240-volt or standard 120-volt outlet.
