Electricity is ubiquitous, EVs refuelable by wind, hydro, geothermal, solar, or traditional energy sources. The Union of Concerned Scientists documents that an ICE vehicle in Ohio must maintain an average of 60 mpg to equal the emissions used to produce what’s needed to run an EV for the same distance. In California, it is 134 mpg.

For me, hydrogen cracks all those problems and it also solves other issues along the way such as making best use of wind energy, for example. mpg US or 3.5 Even though we have around 1,300 charging points in the capital you cannot guarantee getting a space outside your house to charge overnight: London is just too densely populated.
