Nissan’s Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant in Mississippi will become a center for US EV production, including the INFINITI brand. The company is investing $500 million in Nissan Canton to support production of two all-new, all-electric vehicles. With this announcement, Nissan now has invested $4 billion in the facility.

Nissan is the latest OEM to reach an agreement with Tesla to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) beginning in 2025, providing Nissan customers even more choices when it comes to charging their electric vehicle. Nissan on Monday revealed a roadmap that will pivot the automaker back toward hybrids and plug-in hybrids for the U.S., EVs set to be built around then in Mississippi will incorporate that strategy.
