Ford Focus Electric in California qualifies for $10K in tax credits, HOV access

California buyers of the Ford Focus Electric will be able to receive up to $10,000 in tax credits ($2,500 state, $7,500 federal) and enjoy high-occupancy vehicle lane (HOV) access after the car was just approved for California’s Clean Vehicle Rebate Program ( CVRP ). 3 and 7, respectively, for the worst congestion in the US.

In June about 500 cars were placed in consumer and fleet hands in Los Angeles and New York and New Jersey for what BMW calls a " field trial." But once again we’ve got a 100+ mile range EV that could compete in the market. I drove the car from LA to San Francisco recently. The BMW Mini E has hit the streets.
