At low speeds (under 18 miles per hour) the Sequoia hybrid can roll along in electric-only mode, but quickly adds the gasoline engine when you step on the accelerator, returning to EV mode when you lift off the pedal. The Sequoia had strong acceleration, with 0-60 mph times of 7.7 Hybrid Components – Eight years/100,000 miles.
