Our technology will be used to directly convert renewable hydrogen and CO 2 to methanol, which is further converted into plug-and-play gasoline. Topsoe will deliver technology to HIF Global’s (HIF) planned eFuels facility in Texas.

Nacero’s Penwell facility will create a market for natural gas that is currently vented or flared and is expected to double the US market for captured bio-methane. The fact that TIGAS has been operating at identical unit scale in Turkmenistan for nearly two years was a major factor in Nacero’s decision.

Coal’s market share of 30.3% Fossil fuels still dominated energy consumption with 87% market share, while renewables rose fastest but are still only 2% of the global total. Output grew rapidly in Qatar (+25.8%), Russia (+3.1%) and Turkmenistan (+40.6%), more than offsetting declines in Libya (-75.6%) and the UK (-20.8%).
