When an Internet connection does become available, it can be plugged into the Nimble to provide access to anyone already connected within the mesh. But that’s not the case for more than 3.5 billion people around the world who don’t have meaningful access to it, according to a Brookings Institution report, “Bridging the Global Digital Divide.”
