He left MIT in 1959 to join Electronic Communications, now part of Raytheon. After he retired as director of information technology at MTS, he was the business manager of industrial applications at the University of Manitoba ’s Microelectronics Center, in Winnipeg. He then joined the Institute for Defense Analyses , in Alexandria, Va.
