CALSTART’s Hybrid Truck Users Forum (HTUF) Small Hybrid Bus Working Group members have selected the supplier team of StarTrans-Azure Dynamics for a 16-plus vehicle national hybrid-electric bus procurement. StarTrans also manufactures buses on their newest platform, the Balance Hybrid Drive, which utilizes the Ford E450 chassis.

All-New, All Hybrid. Toyota has added another model to its ever increasing stable of electrified vehicles with the all-new 2023 Sequoia now exclusively hybrid powered. Fuel economy numbers have not been announced, but the same gasoline-hybrid power plant in the Toyota Tundra pickup gets 20 mpg city/24 highway/22 combined.

Lucid set-up a mini drag strip, where after some expert instruction on how to use the launch control, we did 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds and hit 88 mph before lifting. Lucid names the Air Touring interiors after California destinations of Santa Cruz, Tahoe and Mojave. Don’t blink.
