Battery technology is improving all the time though, and some of these green motorcycles can go as far as 240 miles on a single charge. Electric motorcycles are quiet. BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. I dont like the idea of leasing a battery pack, or project Better Places pay for however-so-many miles on a plan and whatnot. Install 3 miles of charging lane with about the same frequency as Rest Stops. not an issue.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. Thats right.
