"The Volt is a case study. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. Honda has probably sold more Civics in a year than the combined total of all 18 of those GM models. And that means it doesnt necessarily pay the rent. It actually consumes rent when its launched."
