Yesterday we told you how the scrappage scheme proposals in the USA are coming under fire and today it is the turn of Spain’s scheme to face criticism. The Ecologistas en Accion , one of the country’s most important green groups, is claiming that the scrappage scheme is bad business.

The scrappage scheme is only a few days old here in the UK and it has already come under fire. However, in the USA critics are taking shots at the proposals before they are even implemented. It would also be required that the loans be used to buy cars achieving at least 32mpg to push innovation - the threshold would increase each year.
