Mentoring the next generation of engineers When Zakrzewska was growing up in Poland, she and her family often listened to the radio. She has been granted several patents, which have been commercialized. Receiving the award, Zakrzewska says, motivates her to continue her volunteerism, mentoring, and technical career.
