As electricity increasingly comes from renewables, total electric vehicle GHG emissions will continue downward, but that will take at least a decade or more to happen everywhere across the U.S. However, there has been public pushback over how to pay for the plan and its push to decrease personal driving by imposing a mileage tax.

To get the most mileage, one could not have the radio, the A/C, or the headlights on. Then consider that in order to actually go any farther than the neighbood store, one still had to have ANOTHER car. Why grant them the privledge to spend our money in the first place? run the hardware store and buy a new one.
