Witha 60-mile range, most felt the need to recharge after 30 miles or so. Peter Roach, Birmingham, UK Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries powered the late GM EV1 and still power hundreds of Toyota RAV4 EVs, some over 100,000 miles. Is it becuase US market prefers a "home" product?

Today we could be using lead-acid EVs, lead-carbon-acid EVs, or nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion hybrids. The electricity for recharging has to come from somewhere, which means power plants. market b y the end of 2009. Then I recall that my laptop batteries barely ever last four years.
