With record-setting gasoline prices across the nation, a record number of drivers are considering EVs. High demand/brand new models such as the BMW i4, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Hyundai IONIQ 5 are in extremely high demand and short supply on dealership lots. Bright spots exist in the market for shoppers of new and pre-owned EVs.

Hyundai will introduce a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle to the market in 2012, according to Dr. Byungsoon Min, of Hyundai Motor Company R&D Center, presenting at the SAE 2010 Hybrid Vehicle Technologies Symposium in San Diego this week.
