EVs are a technology that are now proven, are increasingly price competitive, and will be the future of the automotive industry. We would recommend signalling a phase-out date for new petrol vehicles between 2030 and 2032, and confirming that in law in 2024/2025. We spend billions of dollars annually on importing fossil fuels.
