The 1987 Sprint ER came in second place, due to its insatiable thirst for go-go juice on the highway (51 miles per gallon). It also had an upshift light (located in the lower right corner of the cluster) to remind drivers that fuel economy was more important than brisk acceleration.

If no one wants your car (because people think it sucks), then no one will buy it, regardless of how good the fuel economy may or may not be. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. GM is making strides increasing their cars fuel economy. Its a damn shame.
