How does this sound: 100+ MPG in a regular vehicle? You can fill it up at the gas station, and you can plug it in to any 120-volt outlet. But when you do, your car essentially becomes an electric vehicle with a gas-tank backup. But wait, theres more: If your driving is mostly local, youd almost never need to gas-up.

Perhaps more interesting than the ride, at least for some electro-geeks, are some of the pictures Doug took of the battery pack on display that will go into the electric smarts. I wish the thing was for sale as-is. For 20k at that size it should have been electric to begin with. from the Tesla Roadster.

Shifted earlier focus to all-electric Focus in 2011 with Magna. Focusing on all-electric, Nissan-Renault partnership with Better Place for EVs.
