How does this sound: 100+ MPG in a regular vehicle? At $3 for a gallon of gas, driving a non-hybrid car costs 8-20 cents/mile (depending on MPG). Since then a number of companies have emerged to offer conversions for sale to consumers and fleet buyers, and CalCars has worked to support a growing open-source conversion movement.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. and 49 mpg. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties. It is probably a real rocket compared to the Daimler version that will eventually show up.
