They only have that many models because they use the same chassis and drivetrain to build 3 different cars, one branded as a Chevy, the next a Pontiac, then a Saturn, etc. If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. The EV1s failure was a failure of Management.
