Schneider Electric reinforced its partnership with PACCAR, which is receiving a $33-million matching grant from the US Department of Energy (DOE) to continue the development of its Class 8 Kenworth and Peterbilt battery electric and fuel cell vehicles, along with its vehicle charging stations, for the SuperTruck 3 project.

Designed to be flexible enough to meet the needs of a wide variety of OEM truck makers, the new fuel cell electric system in the latest prototypes has been adapted to a Kenworth T680 chassis. Port fleet rollout. Converting the drayage trucks that currently serve these ports to electric drivetrains would move us closer to that goal.
