The all-wheel steering feature can be turned off, but we found leaving it on made freeway driving effortless. The available Super Cruise , which offers hands-free driving, has among other features the ability to automatically change lanes. We tried it and it works, but needing this technology is another conversation for another day.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles.
