Trial projects of 340 electric vehicles will be executed in the West Midlands, Glasgow, the North East, Oxford and London.

The city of Brighton UK) plans to install 20 Elektrobay roadside charging stations for plug-in electric vehicles (PEV) over the coming year. Brighton-based Elektromotive developed and manufacturers the innovative Elektrobay charging station, and will be responsible for the implementation of the project.

The Alliance and Elektromotive signed a Memorandum of Understanding on studying ways to promote the use of electric vehicles and will share information on EV development and energy supply on a global scale. To date, it has installed more than 40 charging bays in London and a further 40 in other major UK cities.

Brighton is set to become the UK’s most electric vehicle (EV)-friendly city outside London, with a little help from Elektromotive, the electric car recharging point maker. Plans to install 20 Elektrobay roadside charging stations over the coming year are part of a concerted effort to encourage zero-emissions motoring in the city.
