The City of Amsterdam plans to deploy 200 charging stations before 2012, and expects the charging stations to fuel 10,000 electric cars in 2015. KHLim’s CO 2 neutral area produces its own green energy through wind, heat and solar. KHLim also has its own energy grid to which the ChargePoint charging stations are connected.

In Norway , which is the world leader in renewable energy use, 45% of electricity comes from hydropower, while Brazil in second place gets 32% of its total energy supply from biofuel and waste energy. In the US, 36% of electricity is generated using renewables, including wind, solar, and hydropower, as well as non-CO2-emitting nuclear power.
