The EPA fuel economy numbers of 21 mpg city/26 highway/23 combined are almost exactly what we got covering 301 miles driving through Southern California. We were hoping to get 30 mpg on the highway, but no matter how hard we tried the best we could do was 28.1

The Environmental Protection Agency rates the Corsair’s fuel economy at 33 mpg highway and combined when running in hybrid mode only. That number jumps to 78 MPGe, or miles per gallon equivalent, when looking at the car’s electric power. If you want extra oomph, select the Excite mode and expect 0-60 mph times of 6.6

The EPA has rated the GV80’s fuel economy at 21 mpg city/25 highway/23 combined. Where we did much better was on a 110-mile freeway run, in either Eco or Smart mode and with the smart cruise control set at 65 mph, achieving 31.5 It wasn’t easy, but cracking 30 mpg on the open road was a nice surprise in this size of car.
