Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. based technology will actually achieve any economy in production. It was a Manufacturing Failure, as GM NEVER planned to build the car in Volume, so No Economies of Scale were ever achieved.
