Li/LiNi 1/3 Co 1/3 Mn 1/3 O 2 cells made with this electrolyte showed good performance in galvanostatic cycling, confirming the electrolyte’s potential as rechargeable lithium batteries with enhanced safety and longevity. A slow discharge means, for example, that acceleration would be compromised when stepping on the pedal in an electric car.
