Dodge bills the Charger as “the world’s first and only electric muscle car.” Dodge says the EVs that replace them will be just as noisy.

Since I was attending the Detroit Auto Show, I could replicate my UK trip for comparison. My goal was to head north to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, then west to Fargo, ND, and back to Detroit via Iowa. Currently the only other cars with an 800-volt systems are the Porsche Taycan and Audi E-Tron GT.
