Lutz, who retired earlier this year, called the car Detroits "moon shot" and an attempt to wrest the mantle of innovation back from the Japanese. Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. AND the Detroit car companies were laughing.
