Better Place is building stations in San Francisco, Hawaii, Israel, and Denmark to swap out 1,000 pound batteries in a car wash type set up. They are either glorified golf cart city cars like this one or they are only for the very wealthy like the Tesla. Toyota still has not made any money on the Prius.
