The trip was sponsored by Florida Toyota dealer Earl Stewart to show the need for clean emission vehicles. Why set yourself a mechanical challenge of course.

The easiest conversions are for 2004-2008 Prius (not 2001-2003 Prius) and the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrid. Drivers of converted cars have received high levels of cooperation from dealer service departments so far.
